Kapra; Times India; BJP senior leader Tallapragada Mahesh said, Though the BJP fared poorly and got just 0.96 per cent votes, there seems to be lot of demand for the party in Andhra Pradesh. All its MLA and MP candidates had lost their security deposits. Yet, several key TDP leaders and Jana Sena leaders are now looking towards the BJP. These leaders feel that both the TDP and Jana sena do not have much political future. Pawan Kalyan has all but wound up the party. So, many Jana Sena leaders have already got in touch with BJP leaders, including Kanna Lakshminarayana.
Similarly, many TDP leaders are also reportedly opening up channels with the BJP leaders. The BJP has decided to depute a national level party functionary to negotiate with the TDP leaders. On Monday, a large number of TDP and Jana Sena leaders from Gurajala and other places in Guntur joined the BJP in the presence of party AP unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana. Party sources say that the joinings will gather more momentum in the coming days.
